The Artist
Behind the Sound.
I'm Camilo Ruiz — a Colombian DJ, music producer, pianist and content creator currently based in Perth, Western Australia. I move between genres the same way I move between worlds: with intention, with energy, and with something to say.
My sound lives in Afro House, Tech House, Latin House and wherever melody meets rhythm — but I'm always pushing further. Influenced by the emotion of Fred Again, the depth of Tale Of Us and the soul of African rhythms, I blend piano-driven arrangements with electronic textures that feel cinematic and alive.
Beyond the music, I co-founded LAB57 — an audiovisual collective of 7 Colombians documenting the intersection of music, landscape and culture from Australia to the world.

I've been playing piano for years — and teaching is one of my greatest joys. My students range from curious 8-year-olds to a 75-year-old woman who wanted to finally learn her favourite songs. Everyone can play. You just need the right guide.
My lessons combine music theory, ear training and practical playing from the very first session. No boring scales before you play a real song. We make music from day one.
